Highly anticipated Christopher Nolan's Tenet was released last month but received a disappointing result. Nolan's films are supposed to make $500 million. But Tenet got only 250 million, didn't even reach the break-even mark.
But all of the surprises, a Chinese film become the world's top-earning movie of the year 2020. The Chinese war movie "The Eight Hundred" shocked major American blockbusters over the weekend by officially becoming the worldâ€™s top-earning movie of the year 2020.
"The Eight Hundred" has now earned a total of $425 million (RMB 2.88 billion) since its release on August 21, making it China's highest-grossing film of the year so far. It is projected to continue to a total box office of $446 million (RMB 3.02 billion), according to reports.
