Chiru & Thaman Reveal Key Update On 'Godfather'!

Megastar Chiranjeevi is in need of a perfect hit right now to get back on the success track. His last outing 'Acharya' was an out-and-out disaster that ended up in heavy losses. He pinned a lot of hopes on his upcoming flick 'Godfather' which is a remake of the Malayalam super hit movie 'Lucifer'. As many did not watch the original version, the makers are hopeful that 'Godfather' reaches the expectation of the fans.
Recently, Megastar graced the grand finale event of 'Telugu Idol' as a Chief Guest. On this show, Chiru and the movie's composer Thaman revealed some key updates on the movie. As many expected, 'Godfather' will not be hitting the screens in August. When asked about a singing opportunity for Sreeram Chandra who is hosting the event, Chiru and Thaman agreed to it completely. Also, they promised another female singer who is a contestant on the show that they will be giving her a sister sentiment song in 'Godfather'.
As it is known, Nayanthara and Chiru play the role of siblings in this flick and Satyadev will be seen as the lady superstar's husband. He is a negative character. These announcements from Megastar confirmed that there is still a lot left to shoot and even the much-awaited song between Salman and Megastar needs to be filmed. Looks like the audience need to wait for some more time to witness Megastar's film on the big screens.
Nirav Shah is the director of photography while SS Thaman is taking care of the music. Suresh Selvarajan is the art director while RB Choudary and NV Prasad are the producers. Presented by Konidela Surekha, this film is directed by Mohan Raja who made movies like 'Thani Oruvan' and 'Velaikkaran' in the past. Megastar is also working on the 'Vedhalam' remake 'Bholaa Shankar' and Bobby's 'Waltair Veerayya'.
