'George Reddy' is the biopic of Student Leader, popular as Osmania Che Guevara, who created a sensation at the age of just 25. This Flick has stirred a controversy prior to the theatrical release.

Akhila Bharatha Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) complained 'George Reddy' was an attempt to project ABVP Students as rowdies. Citing the 15 criminal cases booked against the Gold Medalist in Physics, They demanded the Makers to show the rowdism of George Reddy as well if the Makers are really committed to present the facts. A stern warning was issued by ABVP, 'If ABVP Students were targeted, We won't let 'George Reddy' release. Court had given clean chit to ABVP Students in the murder case of George Reddy. What is the need for digging the past? Its an attempt to show ABVP in a bad light'.

However, Director Jeevan Reddy clarified there is no intention what-so-ever to target any organisation or individual. 'George Reddy' is hitting the screens on November 22nd. Pawan Kalyan offered his consent to grace the pre-release event of the flick. Much to the disappointment of Makers, Police Department denied permission citing participation of Powerstar in the event would make it difficult to control the gathering.
