India is a country that follows the tradition of respecting women. Sadly, the same country is one of the nations that report a high number of attacks and sexual crimes against women and girls. One such incident was reported in the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad.

The alleged incident of rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Hyderabad had created quite a sensation. The initial investigation said that the accused is none other than the neighbor of the teenager, the victim.

The victim went missing on Thursday. After a lookout for the victim, she was found at the neighbor's residence. The victim had already breathed her last by the time she was spotted by her parents. Since then, one Raju, the accused in the sensational cases is absconding

The parents of the victim have moved the local police station in this regard and lodged a case. In their investigation, it was reportedly found out that the accused had sexually assaulted her and murdered her.

The cops have sent the body of the victim to the state-run Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad to know the reason for the death of the victim. The reports say that the victim was subjected to sexual assault and she was strangulated to death.

The cops swung into action to nab the accused in the cases and deployed teams to find out the whereabouts of Raju, the accused. Based on the credible information, the police teams arrested the accused from his native place.

Addaguduru in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana is the native place of the accused. Upon arresting the accused, the cops took him to the capital city Hyderabad along with them.

After the incident came to the limelight, a tense situation erupted after the locals of the area where the incident took place called for a protest. The locals placed a demand that the accused should not be spared and he should be given the maximum punishment.

With the locals showing no sign of taking a back step, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ramesh Reddy and Hyderabad district collector L. Sharman stepped in right away and assured the protestors that appropriate action would be taken against the accused.

Saying that a fast-track court will be set up to slap the guilty with the punishment, Hyderabad Collector announced financial assistance of Rs 50,000 and said the kin of the victim will be given a two-bedroom house. Besides this, an educated person from the family would be provided with a job, while the education of the siblings of the victim will be taken care of.
