Deepika Padukone Praising Rahul Gandhi Video Goes Viral

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was grilled by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in an escalating drugs probe following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput earlier this year. She was questioned for more than 5 hours on Saturday. Some reports suggest the actress cried thrice during the investigation with the NCB. The NCB officials even asked Deepika not to play the emotional card while questioning.
While the actress might face another round of summoning by NCB, an old video of Deepika praising Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going viral again on social media.
The video is from an interview back in 2010 where she endorses Rahul Gandhi for PM. "I don't know much about politics, but from whatever I see on TV whatever Rahul Gandhi is doing makes him a classical example for the youth. Hopefully, he will be prime minister one day," Deepika said in her interview.
"I think he connects very well with the youth. His thoughts and outlook are traditional, but at the same time, he has a futuristic approach. I think this is very important for our country," she added.
