Deepika Padukone receives Crystal Award!

Deepika Padukone stated that she is happy to receive a Crystal Award for her work in spreading awareness about Mental Health.
She stated that she has a love-hate relationship with the depression and she wants to continue her fight against it.
She accepted Crystal Award at ongoing Economic Forum Meet 2020 at Davos, Switzerland.
In her acceptance speech, she said, "
My love and hate relationship with this has taught me a lot and I want to tell everyone suffering from this that you are not alone. In the time it has taken me to accept this award, the world has lost one more person to suicide.
"Depression is a common yet serious illness. It is important to understand that anxiety and depression are like any other illness and treatable. It was experienced with this illness that encouraged me to set up Live Love Laugh."
Her husband and Bollywood star, Ranveer Singh stated that he is happy and proud for her. The couple are doing a movie based on 1983 World Cup win, '83 in the direction of Kabir Khan. Ranveer is playing Kapil Dev, the Indian Captain during the time, in the movie and he learnt bowling, batting in the legendary all-rounder's style. Deepika is playing Kapil's wife in the film.
