Shatamanam Bhavathi was a surprise from Satish Vegesna and nobody expected the movie from a director like him, with two box office failures, become a massive hit.

The movie worked like a magical charm for Sharwanand and total cast involved. Dil Raju got so confident with Satish, that he immediately announced their next film.

Srinivasa Kalyanam, their next did not just fail at the box office but it made many loose impression on the director. Still, Kalyanram believed in him and the movie, Entha Manchivadavura happened.

The film team tried to repeat Shatamanam Bhavathi magic by taking core subject from another language film, just like they did for SB and induced some mass elements that Telugu people love into the narrative.

Right from the trailer launch, the movie did not create much impression on public and it ended up being a big failure for this Sankranthi as Darbar starring Rajni also collected decent amounts.

In USA, movie collected just $17k and in AP/TS, it failed to register house fulls at many centres even with returning crowds of Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru.

Families decided to wait for another day or another show of these two and occupancy rates for EMV were consistently low on each day at every centre except for some like Guntur, where first two days were decent to good.

On the whole, the formula for Satish Vegesna seems to have fallen apart as a director and as a producer he is going for a complete image makeover of Allari Naresh with a young debutant.

We hope he succeeds as a producer this year and takes that confidence to craft a better film as a director too. May be he can go for a breezy film with light hearted emotions than heavy melodramas, just a suggestion!
