Dil Raju has a knack of picking super hit subjects. Dil Raju knows how to promote his films. If Dil Raju buys Nizam rights of a film, it is definitely a worthy film. These are the statements we usually hear about him. But, all these are a part of the past now and he turned into a regular producer and distributor who couldn't predict a film's verdict.
His films are not able to enter profit zone and his distribution ventures are ending up in losses. Though 'Maharshi' is considered a blockbuster, it ended its run with minor losses in few areas. The big films he distributed are not able to bring back the investment. Recently, Raju released a film 'Evvariki Cheppoddu' under his banner. This film went unnoticed and Dil Raju is the person to be blamed for it. He showed zero interest in promoting the film and it ended as a failure. Earlier, if Raju decided to release a small film under his banner, he made sure that it was well promoted and even trade used to believe in his judgement. But there is a drastic change in this scenario. He is now releasing Ravi Babu's 'Aaviri' under his banner and the buzz on that film is not at all encouraging.
Its high time Dil Raju ups his game and gets back to form. There are a couple of interesting projects in his bag and hope that he wont repeat the same mistakes.
