The Sankranthi festival in 2024 is going to be a big one for Telugu cinema. Mahesh Babu and Trivikram's much-awaited film SSMB 28 has officially announced its release on January 13, creating a lot of buzz among fans.
Adding to the excitement, Prabhas has already announced that his big-budget pan-world movie Project K will be released on January 12. Earlier, there were rumors that Ram Charan's RC 15 might also release during the festive season.
However, with the announcement of Mahesh's film, it's become clear that RC 15 will not be releasing during Sankranthi. Dil Raju, who has a hand in the pre-release business of Mahesh's movie, is taking the distribution rights of Nizam and Vizag areas, making it unlikely for RC 15 to release at the same time.
Industry insiders speculate that Dil Raju might not want to take such a risk during Sankranthi, and that RC 15 could release during the summer of 2024. With three big movies releasing during the festive season, Telugu cinema is gearing up for a blockbuster start to the new year.
