Hindi Cinema is looking at a lucrative period and year, in 2019. Even though Kalank tanked big time, films like Gullyboy, Kesari, De De Pyaar De, Luka Chuppi, Badla, Super 30, Mission Mangal, Batla House, Article 15, URI, Kabir Singh became good profit earners.
Bharat did not loose money even though it did not become a major success for Salman Khan for Eid. Now Saaho, Chhichhore and even Dream Girl are collecting well at box office.
Mainly, Dream Girl and Chhichhore that released after Saaho have turned into huge hits. Dream Girl just in two days, earned the status.
Ayushmann Khurrana's new comedy released on Friday to 10 crores Nett gross and on Saturday, collected more than 16.50 crores Nett gross, showing strong growth and good Word of Mouth.
Chhichhore collected more than 8 crores Nett gross on Saturday that too, its second Saturday and the movie seems to be a solid blockbuster as it is headed to Rs. 130 crore above closing.
Dream Girl is expected to collect even higher on Sunday and the movie could be another 100 crores Nett grosser for Ayushmann. His Article 15 did not collect 100 crores but became a solid hit with 70 crores Nett gross.
These two films have put an end to Saaho winning run in North and it is looking to end below 145 crores Nett gross. Still movie is a hit in Hindi and it will be the only market where movie made a profit.
