Dsp Claims 'oo Antava' As A Complete Devotional Tune!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Dec 2021 6:32 AM GMTRockstar Devi Sri Prasad might not be in form lately but there is no denial in the fact that he is one of the most gifted and talented music composers we have. He can provide any kind of tune with ease and proved to us he is a complete allrounder in the past 20 years where he delivered a lot of chartbuster albums. In his recent outing 'Pushpa', the star music director gave some hit tunes which became quite popular. Of them, the raunchy item song 'Oo Antava' sing became an instant success.
The spicy item song paired up with Samantha sensually showcasing her luscious curves made the masses go crazy in theatres. Talking about the song during the press meet, Devi Sri Prasad stunned everyone saying that 'Oo Antava' is a devotional song. Explaining his words, he said, "For me this is just another song. If you put some lyrics that are related to god in the same tune, it will be a devotional song. For me, Oo Antava is a devotional song as well."
He made up some devotional lyrics on the spot and sang it which entertained everyone. Devi went onto state that legendary Shobha Rani garu who is known for rendering 'Annamacharya Keerthanalu' has made a devotional song with 'Oo Antava Maava' tune. She turned the lyrics as 'Oo Antava Maadhava Oo Oo Antava' which surprised many. This is not the first time DSP has turned an item song into a devotional song. He turned the super hit 'Kevvu Keka' tune into a funny devotional song by changing the lyrics for a scene in 'Attarintiki Daredi'.
Coming to Devi Sri Prasad's work, there was some criticism on his background score in 'Pushpa' despite giving super hit tunes. There were some action sequences that could have gone to the next level with a good background score and many felt that DSP did an underwhelming work though some back him saying that it was due to hurried post-production work. Devi has composed music for Keerthy Suresh's 'Good Luck Sakhi' and Dil Raju's production 'Rowdy Boys' which are ready for release. The songs in these two films got a decent response. Hope DSP regains his lost form soon and goes back to delivering blockbuster tunes all the time.
