Kollywood Star hero Vijay made an indirect entry into politics in the rural body elections held in the reorganized districts that were held recently. The contestants who tried their luck from the fans club of Vijay had won more than 100 seats, making his fans happy.

Nine districts in Tamil Nadu that were reorganized witnessed the rural elections. It was a tough fight as the ruling DMK, Kamal Haasan's party, and the All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, Vijay's fan club contested the rural elections.

While the members of the fan club had contested 169 seats in the rural elections, 115 candidates tasted success. The winning seats translate to around 68 percent of the winning rate, which is pretty good for the first outing of the fan club. The fan club made wonders where Kamal Haasan's party failed to win at least a single seat.

The main twist in the election episode came when Vijay gave his nod for the fan club to run the elections. The second surprise is that the fan club members won more than 100 seats in the rural polls. The winning candidates include women, farmers, and workers.

It has to be noted that earlier Vijay had moved a court to get directives from the Court to see that no one will use his name for the political aspirations. He had knocked on the doors of the court against his father, mother, and few others.

All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam Secretary Bussy Anand spoke to the media after the election result. He said that Vijay allowed his fans to use his name and flag for the elections after receiving a flood of requests on the sam from his fans.
