The decision taken by Reliance Boss Mukesh Ambani leaves a sensational impact. The emergence of Reliance SIMs cut short the tariffs for Incoming Outgoing local, STD, and National Roaming calls in the early 2000s, and now the incoming calls became completely free. Reliance Jio changed Internet consumption in India at once.

Now the decision taken by Mukesh Ambani is sending shocking waves and film exhibitors are said to be not happy with his decision. Hindi cinema is yet to come out of the crisis. Though a few films like Pathaan saw big success, PVR INOX Ltd which is the leading Multiplex operator reportedly saw a big loss.

Rubbing salt into the wounds, the Reliance Jio Cinema app which is live streaming IPL matches without charging any money is also allowing users to watch films and web series without having to pay a single rupee. The app has millions of users and they are watching films and series there.

Jio Cinema App is doing what other OTT platforms are doing without charging money. The app is seeing massive growth in users. Not just old films, but new series are also coming to the app.

Shahid Kapoor's Bloody Daddy and Vijay Sethupathi's Mumbaikar will be directly released on Jio Cinema App. Usually, films are released in theatres. But Jio Cinema App took its place.

It is said that film exhibitors are worried about Jio Cinema App as they have fears that app would cause trouble for them. Jio Cinema App might not see big profits now but it might impact the theatre system.
