Is another film actor from Tamil Nadu entering politics? Actor Siddharth, whose movies like Bommarillu, have brought him closer to many a heart, is making lot of political comments these days. Siddharth has participated in the anti-Citizenship Amendment Bill Act protests and had earlier provided relief to the flood affected people in Chennai. So, there is a buzz that he is all set to join politics.
But, Siddharth himself has cleared the air on Sunday when he said tht he is not interested in politics. "A person like me cannot survive in politics. I speak straight from my heart and a politician should never do that," he said. He also added that he does know what to speak when.
Tamil Nadu's experience with film stars has been disastrous. After the first generation film star-politicians like MGR and Jayalalitha, most other stars like Vijayakanth, Kamala Hasas, Sharat Kumar and Vadivelu have been disasters in politics. Many of them have lost their steam too soon.
