Disha Encounter Movie: TS High Court Slaps RGV With Show Cause Notice

Sensational director Ram Gopal Varma(RGV) who has been banking on biopics and real incidents for quite some time, went for one more real incident for his upcoming venture.
However, his upcoming 'Disha Encounter' movie has been attracting controversies since its inception. The move faced one more jolt from the Telangana High Court.
The Telangana High Court, which heard a petition on 'Disha Encounter' movie slapped Show Cause Notice to the director and sought an explanation from him on the film.
The issue reached the High Court after the family members of Disha convicts knocked on the doors of the High Court to seek directives to issue a stay order on the film release.
The counsel who appeared on the behalf of convicts' families told the court that the movie will add more problems to the families who were devastated by what happened in the case.
Agreeing with the observation of the counsel, the High Court sought an explanation from Ram Gopal Varma. The next hearing in the case was adjourned for two weeks,.
Recollecting the sad incident, a 26-year-old veterinary doctor was gang-raped and murdered by four men in November 2019. The incident sparked outrage across the country. The incident was dubbed as Disha.
