Huge drop in Rajni's market in Telugu states!

There was a time when our star heroes postponed their films whenever Rajnikanth had a release. His films opened to packed houses across the Telugu states and 'Robo' was one of the highest earners of Tollywood in 2010. He has a separate fan base in Telugu because of his unmatchable style and swag.
But we can see that craze diminishing now as his upcoming film 'Darbar' was sold for a very meagre 14 crores in Telugu states. This is a very small number considering the stature of Rajni. This is mainly due to the results of 'Vikrama Simha', 'Linga', 'Kabali' and 'Kaala'. Though '2.0' and 'Petta' got positive talk, they failed to bring profits to the buyers. This made them hesitant to buy Rajni's 'Darbar' for high rates.
Though collecting 14 crores looks like an easy task for Rajni, it is going to be tough considering the huge competition he is going to face from Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun this Sankranti season. Also, 'Darbar' is coming with zero hype as the makers did not promote the film adequately. Let us hope Rajni works his magic and earn profits this time at least.
