Bollywood is running behind biopics. They are making films on the life stories of athletes, politicians, scientists, mafia dons, actors and many others. As we know, India is a nation that lives in films and Cricket. Biopics on cricketers are one of the biggest money-spinners.
There are biopics on famous cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Azharuddin till now. Bollywood is currently making biopics on women cricketers like Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami. Also, Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev in '83' which showcases the story of India's first World Cup win in Cricket.
In the meanwhile, a biopic on dashing Indian cricketer Saurav Ganguly is under planning stage. Karan Johar will be producing this film and apparently handsome hero Hrithik Roshan will be reprising the role of 'Dada' in this film.
Ganguly is known for his fierce captaincy and attitude on the field. He has a lot of fan base and is a powerful person in Indian Cricket. With Hrithik playing the lead role, the expectations have reached new levels on this biopic.
