Tamil directors never worked out for superstar Mahesh Babu. He did 'Nani' with SJ Surya and it turned out to be a disaster. A few years back, he teamed up with AR Murugadoss for 'Spyder' and it ended up being his biggest nightmare. But sources say that he might join hands with another Tamil director now.
News is that Mythri Movie Makers signed up 'Master' director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He was the one who directed super hit film 'Khaidi' with Karthi which released last year. Apparently, the producers are planning to rope in a big star for this film. Mahesh is said to be the front runner and an announcement may come out on his birthday as per reports.
Mahesh is scoring good hits continuously in the form of 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Maharshi' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'. But there is a complaint on him that he is getting stuck with message-oriented films which is why he selected a young director like Parasuram for his 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'. If reports are to be believed Lokesh Kanagaraj will be next in line and it will be a multi-lingual. Though Mahesh had some tough luck with Tamil directors in the past, this gossip is exciting his fans. Let us wait and see what happens.
