Is Naga Chaitanya Finally Playing To His Strengths?

Naga Chaitanya has a huge following among youth but not at the level of Vijay Devarakonda. VD could crack a balance as a mass hero with Arjun Reddy but he cannot pull off too conventional films.

On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya whose 100% Love, Ye Maaya Chesave, Manam, Premam earned him good following tried to use that to become a mass action hero in conventional route and failed.

His acting has improved over the time but his love towards mass masala action films hasn't died. Yuddham Sharanam, Bezawada, Dhada, Shailaja Reddy Alludu, Auto nagar Surya, Savyasachi all tried to be conventional and unconventional but their formulaic action narrative did not work on Chaitanya.

In Majili, his looks did get acceptance from public. Movie proved that if he can stick to such family subjects like Bhagyaraja from Tamil for time being until he finds an action entertainer than can really balance his ambition and real image, he is gold at box office.

He seems to be trying that formula after so many flops. Thadhaka did follow such family action elements to the tee.

As he accepted Shekar Kammula's film next, we can say that the actor seems to be trying to go smart about his future plans and try to get a momentum going before he tries another mass subject.

His romantic hits include Manam, Ye Maaya Chesave, Premam, Majili, 100% Love, Rarandoyi Veduka Chuddam which all given him a good base among families. Oka Laila Kosam, Shailaja Reddy Alludu, Thadakha made their money almost back, because they had elements that did touch that family base.

But others like Bezawada, Dhada, Savyasachi failed big time as he tried to do routine mass flicks that were formula during his father Nagarjuna's peak! Hope he understood the difference now.
