India's topmost director SS Rajamouli was never known for his speed. He takes his own sweet time for making his films and doesn't mind spending a lot of effort on perfectly carving every shot. He used to make one film per year and it increased to two years for 'Magadheera'.
As he grew bigger, Rajamouli's films started taking a lot of time than usual. He spent a total of 6 years for 'Baahubali 1 & 2'. Knowing the magnitude of the project, it got justified and he shattered records left right and center. He wanted to make his next film as quickly as he can. When he started 'RRR' with Ram Charan and NTR, he announced that it will be releasing in July 2020.
While many were shocked, they expected it to get postponed by a couple of months. But things took a drastic turn with Coronavirus and he was forced to stop the shooting on a couple of occasions. The team announced that 'RRR' will be coming out on 13th October 2021 but that seems too far from reality now.
Experts are saying that Rajamouli is planning to bring the film during the summer of 2022 as there is still some portions left to shoot along with post-production works which may take another 4-5 months at least. If this becomes true, 'RRR' will be coming 5 years after the release of 'Baahubali 2'.
