'KICK' combo in Search of a Hero!

Regarded as a stylish director, Surender Reddy is trying hard to convince a star hero for a film from the past few months. After a magnum opus 'Sye Raa', he planned to work with a few star heroes which didn't work out.
He reportedly approached Prabhas right after 'Sye Ra' hoping that he could make an action thriller with the 'Baahubali' hero. But the failure of 'Saaho' made Prabhas reject Surender Reddy's proposal. As per grapevine, he took the same concept near his 'Athidi' hero Mahesh Babu but he too rejected it for some reason.
On the other hand, writer turned director Vakkantam Vamsi scored a disaster with his debut directorial 'Naa Peru Surya'. This film's result made it tough for him to find another project with a star hero. With nothing left to do, both Surender Reddy and Vakkantham Vamsi came together once again and they reportedly started working on the script of 'Race Gurram 2'.
This writer-director combo gave some super hits in the past like 'Athanokkade', 'Kick' and 'Race Gurram'. They came up with 'Kick 2' in the past which was a big flop. Let us wait and see how the sequel of 'Race Gurram 2' turns out.
