'Love Today' Trailer: Maruthi Already Touched It! What's New?

With a lot of dubbing films performing well in the Telugu market, a lot of star producers are coming forward to acquire the rights of hit movies and dub it in Telugu. After Nagarjuna releasing 'Sardar' and Allu Aravind releasing 'Kantara', Dil Raju bought the dubbing rights of 'Love Story'. He is releasing the Telugu version now.
'Love Today' is a Kollywood film that became a blockbuster. This small film was made by Pradeep Ranganathan who made 'Comali' in the past. He played the lead role while Ivana is the heroine. Sathyaraj, Yogibabu, Raveena Ravi and Radhika Sarathkumar played key roles in this movie.
Vijay Deverakonda released the Telugu trailer and wished the entire team a lot of success. 'Love Story' is a romantic comedy that resonates with the current generation of youth. The trailer showcases how the lead pair who are in love decide to get married and try to convince their parents. Though the hero's parents don't object, the heroine's father (Sathyaraj) decides to test them. He asks them to swap phones for one day and claims that he will agree to their marriage if they still love each other.
After swapping phones, differences start to crop up between Pradeep and Ivana. It leads to a lot of drama and comedy. Though the concept is novel, there is a lot of Tamil flavor in the trailer. The over-the-top nature of the characters and the lack of relatable artists work against the film. 'Love Today' is made for Tamil audience keeping their sensibilities in mind. Director Maruthi made a lot of films touching the new-age love stories topic under his direction and production.
Many claim that it would have been better if 'Love Today' was remade rather than dubbed. The movie would have attracted a larger set of the audience if they brought in Telugu actors and remade it according to many. The makers confirmed that 'Love Today' will be releasing in November itself. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for this film which was produced under AGS Entertainments banner. We need to see how the Telugu audience receives this movie.
