Low Collections Worrying PAPA Makers!

Director Avasaraka Srinivas who turned into a director with 'Oohalu Gusagusalade' has created a separate image for himself. His second movie 'Jyo Achyutananda' was successful as well and he teamed up with Naga Shaurya once again and made 'Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi'. T G Vishwa Prasad and Padmaja Dasari are the producers while Megha Chowdhury, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Maharshi, Sri Vidya, Varanasi Soumya Chalamcharla, Harini Rao, Arjun Prasad and others played key roles.

Starring Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair in the lead roles, this plain love story arrived with decent expectations. With Avasarala's love stories turning out to be hits before, people expected 'Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi' to get the same result but the result is disappointing. The realistic approach and documentary-style narration at a snail pace worked against the movie.

On the first day, the movie collected a gross of 85 lakhs as per reports. These numbers are too low and even the collections from overseas are not at all encouraging as it got a worldwide collection of one crore and ten lakhs. The pre-release theatrical business of this movie was 3.2 crores and it needs to get 3.5 crores at least to enter the safe zone.

With such low collections on the first day, the future looks quite dull for this movie. The negative talk is not helping too. On the other hand, even 'Kabzaa' which came on the same day did not get a positive talk as many people are calling it a xerox copy of 'KGF'. It looks like the weekend is going to be very dull at the box office.
