Maa Executive Committee To Give Clarity On Election Date Soon!

The Movie Artists Association's (MAA) elections, which has been creating a sensation over the past few weeks, is likely to commence in a couple of months. It is said that the elections might be held in September.
As per the media reports, the decision to go for the elections was taken to keep an end to the issues surrounding MAA. An official announcement is likely to be made by the Executive Committee soon.
It has been widely reported that the crucial meeting will be held in the coming few days to discuss the key elements like when to hold the elections and the date on when the Annual General Body Meeting should be called for.
As the guidelines of MAA says the EC meeting and AGM meetings should be held with a gap of 21 days, the General Body Meeting might be held in August.
Going by the bylaws, from the day one of announcing the date of elections, the Executive Committee does not possess any power. Till the election process gets completed, the election officer will hold the powers to look after the proceedings.
Now all eyes are on the upcoming meeting on when the polls will be held. Big names like Prakash Raj, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, Manchu Vishnu,Hema have announced their candidacy.
