The talk among the gossip mongers of TFI is that Mahesh is trying hard to get an "Yes" from Rajamouli, which has been his dream combination from Simhadri days.
They both did enter into some sort of talks after Simhadri, after Yamadonga and after Maryadaramanna but Rajamouli got busy with bigger projects and other ideas.
As the director might think about going for his biggest dream project ever after RRR - with Ram Charan and NTR, or even go for Pan-India movie with Hindi ensemble, Mahesh wants to show the director that he is ready to wait for him, it seems.
Mahesh has been waiting for a big project to improve his market and as he firmly stated his hold on different audience groups with Bharat Ane Nenu, Maharshi and Sarileru Neekevvaru, he feels he can't just go with Telugu based projects when everyone around him has taken a step ahead.
He recently looked at the projects and directors he has access to and felt that his market will turn stale, if he doesn't try to compete. He is in no hurry as he delivered three back to back big hits.
He feels there is a necessary for him to go for bigger projects to please his fans and also take that big leap career wise. Hence, he wants to go with a Rajamouli movie.
Right now, Rajamouli dictates terms and he doesn't want to take up projects just like that. So, Mahesh has to wait for one or two years until the director is ready with a script for him, if at all they both arrive at an agreement.
For now, Mahesh might take up #Chiru152 and if Koratala Siva has a script for him do it or wait for one or two years for Rajamouli after RRR, it seems.
