Big films competing with each other during Sankranti is not new to the audience but they got a real taste of how an intense fight would be with 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo'. Despite other films releasing, the entire focus was on these two films and they both competed with each other right from the promotions stage.
Start from the first look, they fought at every stage including the release of lyrical songs, teasers and trailers. It is better not to talk about the release date drama which went on even before a few days the release. Post the release, they are busy announcing themselves as winners by releasing new posters. Mahesh's film is being promoted as 'Sankranti Mogudu' while Bunny's film has announced itself as 'Sankranti Winner'. Films like 'Darbar' and 'Entha Manchivaadavura' remained silent all through this competition.
The collections saga is a completely different race. Analysts are commenting that the production houses are exaggerating the figures to announce their film as the winner. Not realising this, few fans are locking horns with each other on social media. On the whole, Tollywood witnessed a spicy Sankranti this 2020.
