It was reported that Kollywood star actor Vijay Sethupathi was roped into Sukumar's Pushpa to play the antagonist in the film. However, with Kannada actor Dhananjaya joining the cast, the buzz went viral that Vijay had walked out of the project.
In a recent interview, Vijay Sethupathi himself revealed that he has opted out of the project due to dates issue. Apparently, he had also met the director Sukumaran in person and explained his situation.
Vijay didn't want to create any trouble later if he gets hooked with date issues as he is a lot of movies in his kitty.
Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be seen Uppena in Telugu and his much-awaited Master is busy with post-production formalities. Apart from these, he will be seen in Kadaisi Vivasayi, Maamanithan, Laabam, Kae Pae Ranasingam, Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, Tughlaq Durbar , Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal and a Hindi film, Laal Singh Chaddha this year.
