Mumbai Court Orders Probe Against Kangana And Her Sister

The magistrate court in Mumbai's Andheri on Thursday has directed the police to conduct an inquiry against Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly posting defamatory and hateful statements against a community on social media.
The complainant, advocate Deshmukh stated in his complaint that Rangoli allegedly posted defamatory statement against a community on Twitter while Kangana supported it and also posted a video in support of her on April 18.
The petitioner alleged that the posts of both the sisters were in a manner that violated religious harmony. He also said that they had made comments on several occasions in a manner that tarnished the image of Bollywood.
The Andheri court has ordered an inquiry under Section 202 of the CrPC and has sought a report from the police on the allegations against them. The court directed that the petition be heard again on December 5.
