The moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived and making the dream of every Telugu film lover true, 'Naatu Naatu' song from Rajamouli's magnum opus won the Oscar in the 'Best Original Song' category. It is a historical moment for Indian cinema and it is an occasion to celebrate with pride and joy.

Ever since the moment it got nominated, 'Naatu Naatu' song was one of the biggest favourites for win the Oscar and on the big night, the award was received on stage by music composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose as Rajamouli and other family members jumped in joy. Keeravani went for a light-hearted approached and sang his acceptance speech while Chandrabose sounded very excited to get the award.

Along with the massy track from 'RRR', the other nominations include 'Applause' by Diane Warren, 'Hold My Hand' which is composed and written by Lady Gaga. It is from Tom Cruise's 'Top Gun: Maverick' film, 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. The music is by Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and others. The other nominee is 'This Is A Life' from 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' which is composed by Ryan Lott, David Byrne and Mitski.

'Naatu Naatu' winning the Oscar despite a heavy competition needs to be enjoyed, cherished and celebrated by everyone. While Keeravani took the award, it is Rajamouli who is getting all the praise on social media for his vision and conviction. He truly deserves every bit of appreciation and accolades.

Prior to the award, the Oscar-winning song was performed live on the stage by singers Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. It got a standing ovation and even the host Jimmy Kimmel talked about this song in his monologue. We hope that 'Naatu Naatu' marks the beginning of many more awards for Indian cinema on the world stage.
