The ongoing controversy pertaining to MAA elections has turned into a fiasco. For the first time ever, five contestants are fancying their chances in the elections. This has led to a heated battle between several camps in Telugu cinema.

Speaking about the same, Nagababu made a few interesting comments. "It is important that there is a fair bit of healthy competition in MAA elections. Unanimous elections don't serve the governing body very well. It is unethical for a few contestants to suggest others to step down from the elections," he said.

Nagababu revealed that MAA would have completed the construction of the dedicated building long time ago if Murali Mohan(former president of MAA) persisted on it.

Nagababu opined that there wasn't much progress in MAA after Naresh took over the presidential reins in the previous term.

"Prakash Raj is one of the senior most artists in South Indian cinema. He has a clear vision of how to develop the MAA body. That is the reason why I am backing him in this year's elections," he said.

Interestingly, the mega brother said Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan doesn't have enough time to look into the recent abnormalities in cinema ticket pricing system which is directly affecting the film industry.
