There was a lot of hype on natural star Nani's 25th film 'V' but the it ended up as a disappointment. The action thriller which had an OTT release got negative talk and its effect is clearly visible on his upcoming films 'Tuck Jagadish' and 'Shyam Singha Roy'.
News is that the non-theatrical rights of these films are having a lot less demand compared to his previous flicks. Though 'V' was bought for a good rate by Amazon Prime, it doesn't count under non-theatrical rights. There is a lot of blood and gore in that film which may not be suitable for broadcast. Due to all this, the producers of both 'Tuck Jagadish' and 'Shyam Singha Roy' are trying to reduce the expenses and have reportedly sent the same message to the directors.
But the Corona effect is not helping them. 'Shyam Singha Roy' is a film with a Kolkata backdrop and the team was supposed to shoot major portions in West Bengal. But with the pandemic changing everything, the team is left with no option but to build some big sets that depict Kolkata's atmosphere. This may end up escalating the budget which puts extra pressure on the director and producers. The remaining details are expected to be out soon.
