Kollywood industry, which is still mourning the death of comedian Vivek, faced one more shock by losing a noted director-cinematographer in the form of KV Anand, who passed away today during the early hours.KV Anand passed away at 3 AM at a private hospital today.

Shocked to hear the sad news, members of the film fraternity and fans are mourning the death of Cinematographer -turned-director. They have been conveying their condolences to his family members.

KV Anand has come a very long way in his career. For a brief period, he worked as a Journalist. Later, he became a Cinematographer and eventually became a filmmaker.

He worked as an assistant with well-known cinematographer PC Sriram. He became a Cinematographer with Thenmavin Kombath released in 2005. He has won a National Film Award as a Cinematographer for his debut film.

After working as a cinematographer for films like Oke Okkadu, Boys, Chandralekha, Sivaji KV Anand became a director with Kana Kandaen in the year 2005.

KV Anand directed films like Kana Kandaen, Ayan, Ko, Maattrraan (2012), Anegan (2015), Kavan (2017) and Kaapan(2019) . He often likes to take the less-traveled road, making him an unusual filmmaker.
