Overseas Audience Not At All Ready To Go Into Theatres!

The foreign market used to be one of the biggest money-spinners for our films. There some films which crossed the breakeven mark despite not performing well in the Indian market due to the collections overseas. Interesting and impressive films used to get millions of dollars at the box-office but the pandemic changed everything.
The Indian crowd abroad are still not ready to watch films on big screens. While the collections are quite encouraging on home turf, the Sankranti releases have registered very low numbers in the US. 'Krack' reached is declared the Sankranti winner here but all it managed to collect was $78K which are mere peanuts.
On the other hand, Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi's 'Master' minted only $128K through all the languages combined at the overseas market. Getting such low money despite having such big names in the film only proves how severely the market got affected by the pandemic. Let us wait and see if things change anytime soon or not.
