Taking a severe objection to Pakistan Model allegedly hurting the sentiments of Sikhs on the grounds of desecrating the sanctity of their place of worship, India had summoned the Pakistan envoy and called for a detailed investigation into the matter. Such objectionable behavior at the holy places is not acceptable, India said.

Not happy with the unacceptable behavior, Arindam Bagchi, India's foreign ministry spokesperson said that the Sikh community in India was deeply hurt by this. There is no respect for the faith of the minorities in Pakistan, he said.

Going into details, one Sauleha, a Pakistani Model who hails from Lahore had visited the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib and uploaded pictures from the holy site. However, the model did not cover her head at Gurdwara as per the tradition which did not sit well with the Sikhs.

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management head Manjinder Singh Sirsa had expressed his concerns over the incident and urged the Pakistan government to not see the holy site as a picnic spot. Having said that in a tweet, he had attached the pictures of the model at the Gurudwara.

"Such behaviour & act at pious place of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is totally unacceptable! Can she dare to do the same at her religious place in Pakistan?@ImranKhanPTI @GovtofPakistan shd tk immed action to stop this trend of treating Sri Kartarpur Sahib as picnic spot by Pak people," Mr. Singh tweeted.

The PTI had reported that the concerned Police Station had swung into action and started probing the incident. Assuring that the responsible people who were behind the photoshoot will not be spared, the Punjab Province officials said, appropriate action will be taken against them.

On the other hand, the model had issued an apology over the incident and deleted the pics she earlier posted from the holy site. Rubbishing the reports that she took the pictures as part of a photo shoot, the model said the purpose behind visiting the Gurdwara was to learn Sikh history.

"I just went to Kartarpur to learn about the history and know about the Sikh community. It wasn't done to hurt anyone's sentiments or anything for that matter. However, if I have hurt anyone or they think that I don't respect their culture, I am sorry," her Instagram post reads.
