'Papanasanam' Team Searching For Gauthami's Replacement In The Sequel!

Legendary actor Kamal Hassan is back to acting after his brief political trial. He is working on the action thriller 'Vikram' which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He is planning to release 'Papanasanam 2' even before 'Vikram' as per sources. For people who don't know, 'Papanasanam' is the remake of 'Drushyam' which came out in 2014.
Now, Mohan Lal's 'Drushyam 2' came on Amazon Prime and got wonderful reviews. Venkatesh completed the shooting of the Telugu version and Kamal is also planning to finish 'Papanasanam 2' as quickly as possible. In the first part, actress Gauthami was seen as the wife of Kamal but it may not happen for the second part.
As we know, Gauthami and Kamal were in a relationship at that time but they split up due to some differences. Sources say that Gauthami may not act in this sequel and the team are looking at other options. News is that Meena is going to play the role. Let us wait and see what happens.
Jeethu Joseph who directed the original and the Telugu version will be handling the Tamil version too. We need to see when this project goes on floors.
