Pooja Hegde started her career as a model and a fairness cream ad made her famous. She joined films soon and in Telugu she did Mukunda, Oka Laila Kosam.

She returned to Telugu screen with Duvvada Jagannadam besides Allu Arjun. She became a star with the film and ever since her films have been big hits or major financial successes at the box office.
