Renowned production banner Yash Raj Films is celebrating its 50th anniversary with some huge projects. One of them is 'Prithviraj' featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead. There were high expectations on this film right from the moment it was announced since it depicts the journey of unparalleled emperor Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who showed true valor and bravery on the battlefield every time he stepped on it.

The teaser was trolled heavily due to a few expressions of Akshay Kumar. Now, the team has released the official trailer and it looks huge. Starting from the casting to the scale on which the film was mounted, everything is huge. The grandeur in visuals makes you awestruck. Akshay Kumar looked splendid in the trailer and he seems to have delivered a good performance. Manushi Chillar looked very gorgeous onscreen and had some powerful dialogues though her expressions leave a lot to be desired.

Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt were great as usual and did what was expected. The list of prominent actors in this film includes Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar and others. Amidst the grandeur, sets, costumes, attractive star cast and an appealing action sequences, the trailer lacked drama which is a key factor in these movies. The dramatic scenes are what tie the film together and make the audience relate to the characters. Let us wait and see how the film turns out when it hits the screens on 3rd June.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, this film is written and directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy gave the music while the lyrics were penned by Varun Grover. Manushnandan (ISC) is the director of photography while Aarif Sheikh is the editor. Franz Spillhaus and Parvez Sheikh are the action directors while Vaibhavi Merchant choreographed all the songs. Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara gave the original background music while yFX company took care of the visual effects.
