Project With Prabhas Becoming Highly Unlikely For This Director!

Things looked great for director Maruthi till 'Pakka Commercial' was released on July 1st. He was supposed to make a complete entertainer with a pan-Indian hero like Prabhas. The movie was titled 'Raja Deluxe' and there was a lot of buzz surrounding it. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi promised at the pre-release event that he would do a film with Maruthi. The director was in good form with successive hits at the box office.
But 'Pakka Commercial' which arrived with good expectations turned out to be a failure. The result completely changed his future plans. There are reports that 'Raja Deluxe' might get shelved completely. According to the sources, producer Danayya DVV who is supposed to bankroll this project is showing no interest in it now. Apparently, he wants to make a movie with Prabhas but not with Maruthi as the director. Grapevine suggests that he is not sure whether Maruthi could handle such a big star or not. Also, many people claim that Maruthi's movies are getting stuck in the same formula these days and he is unable to come up with something new. We need to wait and see what happens with 'Raja Deluxe' now.
Coming to Prabhas, he is working on 'Salaar' which is being made by Prasanth Neel. This action flick will be hitting the screens on 28th September 2023. Ravi Basrur is the music composer while Shruti Hassan is the heroine. There are humongous expectations on this high-budget movie. The shooting of 'Adipurush' has been wrapped up long back and the post-production works are going on. 'Adipurush' is based on the epic Hindu mythology Ramayana and Prabhas will be seen as Lord Ram while Kriti Sanon plays the role of Sita. Directed by Om Raut, Saif Ali Khan portrays the character of Lankesh in this movie.
Apart from that, he is doing a gigantic science fiction film based on the theme of time traveling. The movie is titled 'Project K' and Nag Ashwin is its director while Deepika Padukone is the heroine. Amitabh Bachchan is playing a key role. He also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Spirit' in the pipeline.
