In what could be considered an interesting development, Sukumar, who is currently busy with Pushpa: The Rise, an intense actioner starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles has revealed that Sunil is the one who plays the lead antagonist in the first instalment of Pushpa duology. "Sunil plays the main antagonist in Pushpa: The Rise. His character will send tremors down the spines of the viewers. He will be seen as a menacing baddie. His character will be one of the driving forces. Fahadh Faasil's character will set in only towards the end of the first part and it will take the center stage in the second part." Sukumar told in a recent social media interaction.

Well, it is really interesting that Sukumar is highlighting Sunil over Fahadh Faasil in the first installment of the Pushpa duology. Not many would have expected this. It appears to be that Fahadh's character will be introduced only towards the end of the first part. He will be turning more prominent in the second part of Pushpa. The same was confirmed by Sukumar earlier. It would be really refreshing for Telugu audiences to watch Sunil in the antagonist role. It will add a layer of freshness to the whole narrative. Moreover, the on screen rivalry between Allu Arjun and Sunil will be a new kind of an experience to Telugu viewers.

Fahadh is playing the main antagonist in the sophomore part of Pushpa. It seems to be that the second installment of Pushpa will be even more bigger as it will mark the coming together of two powerhouses Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. These two seasoned actors will be taking on each other in the confrontational sequences in the second installment of Pushpa, which should make for a compelling watch. It is known that Fahadh Faasil will be seen as a police officer in the film. He will clash with Pushpa Raj, a crooked red sandalwood smuggler in the area, played by Allu Arjun. This is the first time these two powerhouses are sharing the screen. Pushpa: The Rise will be out in theatres on the 17th of December this year.
