The visual wonder RRR directed by Rajamouli will go down as a rare film to win various prestigious awards. After winning Golden Globe Awards, and HCA Critics awards, the magnum opus won the prestigious Oscars Award and added another big feather to its illustrious cap.

At the Oscars 2023, Naatu Naatu song from RRR won the Oscars award. The winning moment started celebrations in India and Indians are celebrating the award in a big way. From celebrities to politicians to movie lovers, everyone is jumping in joy for RRR winning the Oscars in the Best Original Song category.

Amid RRR's Oscars moment, the focus is now on Chhello Show(The Last Film Show) which was the official entry from India for the Oscars. The jury proposed the film instead of RRR as an official entry. The members said that popular cinema need not be nominated for the award.

When everyone felt that India would nominate RRR as the official entry. However, the Gujarati Film made it to the final cut. It was nominated in the International Feature Film category. However, the film could not make magic and fell short of the prestigious award.

Now RRR fans are giving the example of Gujarati film and are saying that the official entry from India could not win at least a small award. But RRR, which is not an official entry from India, won a prestigious award. Many say that if RRR would have been an official entry then it might have won the award for best picture as well.

While RRR is a straight film, 'Chhello Show' is said to be a remake film. In the awards, the remake films are not given importance and they cannot even contest for awards. No one understands how a remake film was nominated for such a prestigious award like the Oscars.

On the other hand, there is political criticism that the Union government did not give the required support for RRR, and a Gujarati film was nominated in its place. After the Oscars award, political criticism got momentum and people are saying that the situation would have been different if RRR would have been an official entry.
