Noted businessman, Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was arrested by the police over his alleged role in adult content racket.
Amid this, Raj Kundra's advocate reportedly supported him in the case and said, the content that was shot by the production house doesn't come under adult content.
As per the media reports, the advocate is of the opinion that, the content that was filmed lies under the category of web series and it cannot be considered adult content.
A content should be considered adult or erotic only when the actors that appear on the screen do s*x. Or else the content cannot be considered as adult, the advocate reportedly said.
Raj Kundra's lawyer Abad Ponda told his arguments to the court. The content should be considered vulgar but not adult, he said.
His comments came when everyone is waiting on what is going to happen in the infamous case.
Raj Kundra, an Indian-Britain businessman who was arrested in connection with the adult content racket is currently placed under police custody.
On Tuesday, the Mumbai Police produced Raj Kundra before the court. Hearing the arguments of the advocate who represented the cops, the court ordered that Raj Kundra should be sent to Police custody.
The lawyer urged that section 67 A of IT Act cannot be applied in the case as the section deals with obscene material. The content made was just vulgar not obscene. A content can be termed obscene if actual intercourse takes place, he told the court.
He also told the court that Raj Kundra's arrest was not made as per the law.
Earlier today, a leading daily based out of financial capital Mumbai has claimed that an accused in the adult content racket case alleged that Raj Kundra bribed the officials.
In the words of the accused, Raj Kundra had bribed the Mumbai Crime Branch officials with Rs 25 lakh and this is why his arrest was delayed.
However, the Mumbai Police didn't respond to the shocking allegations yet and their response is awaited in this regard.
