Rajamouli taking a big risk with RRRs run-time

SS Rajamouli is the most accomplished filmmaker in Indian cinema and anyone who contradicts the statement has very little idea of the filmography of the supremely talented filmmaker. Now, Rajamouli is awaiting the release of RRR, a heavy duty actioner that has Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.

Incidentally, Rajamouli appears to be taking a big risk of sorts with RRR as he has locked a rather lengthy runtime for the film.

As per the censor report of the film, the periodic epic has a runtime of 3 hours 6 minutes, which is on the higher side for a feature film. Rajamouli is now presented with the hurdle of keeping the audience engaged for over 180 minutes and that is not going to be easy by any means.

It needs to be said that Rajamouli is taking a big risk with RRR's runtime. While might have taken the conventional approach and locked the runtime at under 2 hours 45 minutes, which is around the optimal tally for a film, he didn't. He is willing to go the extra mile.

RRR hits the silver screens on the 7th of January 2022. The film is funded by DVV Entertainments.
