First Audition: Reel Savitri, Real Savitri

'Mahanati' is the biopic of legendary Telugu actress Savitri and the movie will be releasing in five days. 'Mahanati' team is trying to increase the craze on the film by releasing different poster on daily basis. Now, they have released a still of Savitri's first audition.. and on-screen Savitri Keerthy Suresh still jointly.

Savitri attended the auditions in 1949 itself. She has appeared for the audition wearing a black saree with white dots.. with a simple bindi on her forehead. She looked like a gorgeous lady in the simple look itself. Now, on-screen Savitri became just like real Savitri. Hairstyle.. bindi.. looks.. everything is the same. There is not even a small difference. Keerthy has literally become Savitri.

It is known that making a biopic is completely different from a regular commercial film. That's the reason why a senior director like Teja walked out of NTR biopic. In such a situation, we can understand the responsibility Nag Ashwin has taken up. Many people doubted whether he can handle this biopic because he has only directed a single film till now. But promos are giving a feeling that he has taken utmost care in making the film.
