Pan-Indian hero Prabhas' decision to walk away from the Sankranti race has proved to be beneficial for other biggies who are gearing up to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. As we know, Megastar and Balakrishna are battling it out this Pongal season but what made things even more interesting is the arrival of a big dubbing flick too.

With Ajith's 'Thunivu' having a limited release in Telugu states, there are only three big releases at the box office. As per reports, the required arrangements have been made to avoid heavy clash and a decent gap is left in between the big releases. The production companies have reportedly informed the distributors regarding the release dates and the official announcement to the public is expected to arrive soon.

On 11th January, Ajith's 'Thunivu' is expected to hit the screens and it will be followed by 'Varisu'. This Vijay starrer will be releasing in Telugu as well as Tamil on 12th January. On the same day, Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Veera Simha Reddy' will be hitting the marquee and 'Waltair Veerayya' featuring Megastar and Mass Maharaj is expected to arrive on 13th January. The producers made sure that there is one day gap between Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna's films.

We need to see when the makers of these three projects announce the release dates.

'Veera Simha Reddy' is a complete action drama which is being directed by Gopichand Malineni. Popular Kannada actor Duniya Vijay will be seen as the antagonist in this movie while Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is playing a key role. Glamorous lady Shruti Hassan is going to be the female lead in this project. The teaser got a phenomenal response.

'Waltair Veerayya' is being directed by Bobby. This is going to be a mass bonanza as per the film's unit and with Ravi Teja playing a full-length role, the audience are going to have a blast seeing the 'Annayya' combo together on the big screens again. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for a Megastar's film once again after 'Khaidi No. 150'. Arthur A Wilson is handling the cinematography. Niranjan Devaramane is the editor and AS Prakash is the production designer. Shruti Hassan and Catherine Tresa are the heroines in this film.
