Rowdy Getting Targetted For 'Liger' Despite His Good Deed!

It has nearly been nine months since the release of 'Liger' but the ramifications of the film are still evident as the distributors are protesting in public in the hope of getting compensated for their huge losses. 'Liger' was a pan-Indian film that arrived amidst a lot of expectations and hype. Many expected Vijay Deverakonda to become a national star after this movie and even the hero looked quite confident about the output.
Puri Jagannadh who directed and produced the movie has sold the movie for fancy rates. But the movie ended up being a huge disaster. While there were a lot of people who asked Puri Jagannadh to return the money they invested at that time, it did not go further. Over the past few days, the buyers are protesting in front of the Film Chamber asking for compensation. They are demanding for Puri Jagannadh and Charmme to come forward and do right by them. Recently, there are a few who are demanding that Vijay Deverakonda should also be helping them.
A few YouTube channels and social media pages are coming up with propaganda suggesting that Vijay should be equally responsible for the failure of 'Liger'. But the buyers who are protesting have made it clear that Vijay is in no way responsible for their losses. They said that Chiranjeevi came forward and returned some money after the disastrous result of 'Acharya'. A reporter asked why Vijay is not being asked for returning money like Megastar.
As we know, 'Acharya' is co-produced by the Konidela Productions banner which Ram Charan owns. This is why Megastar took responsibility and settled some of the losses. Puri and Charmme are the producers of this film and Vijay only acted in the movie. He is in no way responsible for the losses. If the buyers get losses, it is Puri and Charmme who need to compensate them as producers. This is the reason why the buyers are demanding those two but not Deverakonda.
In fact, Vijay did not get the complete remuneration for 'Liger' which was agreed before the start of the film. Due to the immense belief in Puri Jagannadh, he took 25% as an advance and completed the entire shooting. With the budget getting out of hand, Vijay decided to not take the rest of the remuneration. Even Puri spoke about it during the pre-release event of the movie. Actually, Vijay should also ask for his complete remuneration but he decided to leave the rest of the amount out of goodwill. It is actually a great thing and speaks volumes about the hero's personality.
