Star actress Samantha Akkineni is currently enjoying the success of her debut web series 'Family Man 2'. Her portrayal of Raji character got a lot of appreciation. Apart from that, she has been elected as the Most Desirable Woman by Chennai Times while she stood 2nd in the Hyderabad Times list. With all this success and stardom even after marriage, she is being approached by a lot of producers.
But reports suggest that she changed her route and is not eager to sign films with big names. She is apparently interested in experiments and interesting stories that are far from the regular commercial entertainers. She is currently working on period drama 'Shaakunthalam' under Gunasekhar's direction. Apart from that, she did not okay any other projects. News is that she politely refused an offer from top production house 'Mythri Movie Makers'.
She previously worked in 'Rangasthalam' and 'Janatha Garage' which were bankrolled by them. But she reportedly decided to stay away from big films and is looking for concept-oriented films. Not just in Telugu but she is following the same route for picking up projects in Kollywood too.
