Sankranti Massively Helps 'Bangarraju' Collections!

Akkineni heroes are considered very lucky by the experts as their latest venture 'Bangarraju' has minted over 53 crores in its first weekend. The makers announced these numbers officially and they are huge considering the impact of Coronavirus in recent times. Also, big films like 'RRR', 'Radhe Shyam' and 'Bheemla Nayaka' moved away from the Sankranti race making it very easy for 'Bhangarraju'.
With no other good option left, the audience went to 'Bangarraju' which had decent entertainment and attractive lead cast. The film got an average talk and critics found a lot of shortcomings in the film but the festive season helped 'Bangarraju' a lot. Akkineni fans were delighted to see Nagarjuna and Chaitanya in the single frame after a long time. The film got over 17 crores on the first day and the it managed to set same level of money in the first three days. By collecting 53 crores in 3 days, 'Bangarraju' became the movie that got the highest first weekend collections for the Akkineni family.
The film did extremely well in the domestic market but the collections in the overseas market are not that impressive. In the entire first weekend, the film only managed to get 200K+ collections which are quite low. Naga Chaitanya's last outing 'Love Story' and Akhil's 'Most Eligible Bachelor' racked up more in their first weekend than 'Bangarraju' which was quite surprising. 'Bangarraju' is a rural drama that usually attracts the overseas audience.

After five years, 'Bangarraju' is arriving with a lot of expectations.
