Singer Sona Mohapatra turned the heads towards her when she shared a story from her college days and how she became a victim of harassment and eve-teasing. She said, "During by BTech Engg, walking to the microprocessor lab in a loose khadi green kurta with a salwar. Seniors whistling, speculating loudly about my bra size, One 'well wisher' walked up & asked why I wasn't wearing my dupatta 'properly', fully covering my 'boobs'. #INeverAskForIt."
Sona tagged Sonam Kapoor and Chinmayi Sripada in her tweet and asked others to share their stories of blaming and shaming. The 44-year-old singer wrote, "Tweet what you remember wearing when you experienced sexual violence, threat or intimidation, Draw attention to victim blame. #INeverAskForIt."
She is getting a lot of response and some of them have been negative too. Many have dismissed her claims saying that she is craving for attention and nothing else. They are calling her 'sympathy seeker' and 'hungry for publicity'. One person wrote that if she is so much worried, why do you do hot photoshoots showing full cleavage. He added that she needs to focus on singing instead of doing all this drama and stated that cleavage is clearly visible in all her photos.
Cus it’s my body, my cleavage Mr. Jay whoever. I do as I please with it. 🤟ðŸ¾ðŸ§šðŸ¿â€â™€ï¸ https://t.co/hfNrKvwJad— Sona Mohapatra (@sonamohapatra) November 23, 2020
