Trade buzz: Sye Raa Is Decent In AP/TS But Weak Elsewhere!

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, Tamanna, Jagapathi Babu, Nayantara, Brahmaji, Kiccha Sudeep, Ravi Kishan and Vijay Sethupathi, Amitabh Bachchan in cameos, produced by Ram Charan, collected strong revenues on Vijayadasami in both Telugu states.
Elsewhere it couldn't compete with War in Hindi and new releases in Tamil, Malayalam markets. It is deemed as a flop in those markets already.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, movie collections have been very good. But from the second day, the reported numbers have been argued over their authenticity by fans of Megastar and others.
Some say they are fake and some say that they are highly genuine as the new hires have been added. In any case, trade is divided on the numbers as Mega fans vs everyone else.
As per the multiple sources, movie collected Rs. 186 crores gross, Worldwide and a share of Rs. 112 crores over the first week. But it has a long way to reach the break-even mark in any market.
In USA, movie crossed 2 Million USD mark and trade is expecting it to touch 3 Million USD mark but with many new releases lined up in USA, they doubt if it can reach there.
As the holidays are over and the Telugu market is free of any big releases till December, as we know off, Sye Raa should be able to have a long run in Telugu states but can it collect beyond Baahubali-1 in Telugu states, is still a mystery.
It needs to collect more than 180 crores (share) to achieve Break-even status and almost every ruppee has to come from Telugu states now. The ticket rates are going to reduce from 9th October but families have to flock to the theatres for a chance at 100% recovery which seems highly likely, at least for the moment.
