Sye Raa BoxOffice Report: Still A Long Way To Go!

Megastar Chiranjeevi's ambitious project 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' successfully completed its 10 days run at the box-office. The film minted huge money to date but considering the pre-release business, it still has a long way to go.
The film earned 38.75 crores in Telugu states on the first day followed by 10.12 crores and 6.93 crores on the second and third days respectively. The collections were solid till the end of the festive season. Though it stood steadily after that, the collections started to drop from the ninth day. On the whole, the film pooled up 95 crores in ten days from both Telugu states. As it is sold for 106 crores, it needs another 11 crores to reach the break-even mark. The film collected 90 lakhs in Nizam on its tenth day making it a total of 29 crores from that region.
The figures from Karnataka are not encouraging as it gathered 15 crores in ten days and has to earn 11.25 crores more to land in the safe zone. Sources say that not allotting the proper amount of theaters affected the film's revenues in Karnataka. As we all know, 'Sye Raa' ended up as a box-office disaster in Hindi due to lack of promotions and competition with 'War'.
The only solace to the makers is that it crossed the 200 crore mark becoming the fourth South Indian film to achieve this feat this year. Earlier Rajni's 'Petta', Ajith's 'Vishwasam' and Prabhas's 'Saaho' crossed this mark.
